Opening note

Preamble

PADA menjalankan kuasa yang diberikan oleh subseksyen 7(1) Akta Penjara 1995 [Akta 537], Menteri menetapkan lokap di balai polis yang dinyatakan dalam Jadual sebagai tempat bagi pengurungan orang, yang direman atau dihukum dengan apa-apa tempoh pemenjaraan, tidak melebihi satu bulan. Pembatalan 2. Penetapan lokap di balai polis yang dinyatakan dalam Jadual sebagai tempat tahanan melalui Penetapan Lokap-Lokap Sebagai Tempat Tahanan [P.U. (B) 15/1987] yang disiarkan dalam Warta pada 8 Januari 1987 dibatalkan.

PRISON ACT 1995

APPOINTMENT OF LOCK-UP TO BE

A PLACE OF CONFINEMENT AND REVOCATION OF LOCK-UP

IN exercise of the powers conferred by subsection 7(1)

of the

Prison Act 1995 [Act 537], the Minister appoints the lock-ups at the police stations specified in the Schedule to be places for the confinement of persons, remanded or sentenced to such terms of imprisonment, not exceeding one month.

Revocation 2.

The appointment of lock-ups at the police stations specified in the Schedule as places of confinement by the Appointment of Lockups as Places for Confinement

[P.U. (B) 15/1987] published in the Gazette on 8 January 1987 is revoked.
