Section 1
These rules may be cited as the Forest (Prohibition of Export of Forest Produce) (No.
1) Rules 1996 and shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1st July, 1990.

Opening note
Preamble
- In exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 42 (1) of the Forest Enactment 1968 [Enactment No. 2 of 1968.] and all other powers thereunto him enabling, the Chief Minister hereby makes the following rules: Citation and commencement.
Section 2
The exportation of the forest produce described in the Schedule hereto is absolutely prohibited.

Description of Forest Produce
Raw rattan/unprocessed rattan.
