- In exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 1 of the Drainage and Irrigation Ordinance, 1956 [No. 15 of 1956.], and all other powers thereunto him enabling, the Governor has appointed the 15 th day of October, 1957, as the day upon the Ordinance shall come into operation..
