Preamble
- Pada menjalankan kuasa yang diberikan oleh perenggan 66(1)(x) dan 127(1)(b) Akta Pengangkutan Jalan 1987 [Akta 333], Menteri membuat kaedah-kaedah yang berikut: Nama dan permulaan kuat kuasa

Menteri mengecualikan orang yang dinyatakan dalam ruang (1) Jadual daripada pemakaian peruntukan yang dinyatakan dalam ruang (2), selagi
Perintah Pencegahan dan Pengawalan Penyakit Berjangkit (Pengisytiharan
Kawasan Tempatan Jangkitan) 2020 [P.U. (A) 87/2020] terus berkuat kuasa.

Pengecualian yang diberikan di bawah subkaedah (1) adalah tertakluk kepada syarat bahawa orang yang dinyatakan dalam ruang (1) Jadual hendaklah memohon untuk memperbaharui lesen kenderaan motornya, lesen memandunya atau lesen vokasionalnya, mengikut mana yang berkenaan, dalam masa tiga puluh hari selepas Perintah Pencegahan dan Pengawalan Penyakit Berjangkit
(Pengisytiharan Kawasan Tempatan Jangkitan) 2020 itu terhenti berkuat kuasa.

Motor Vehicles (Exemption) Rules 2020
In exercise of the powers conferred by paragraphs 66(1)(x) and 127(1)(b) of the Road Transport Act 1987 [Act 333], the Minister makes the following rules:
Citation and commencement
1. (1) These rules may be cited as the Motor Vehicles (Exemption) Rules 2020.

These Rules are deemed to have come into operation on 25 March 2020.

Exemption
2. (1) The Minister exempts persons specified in column (1) of the Schedule from the application of the provisions specified in column (2), so long as the
Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Declaration of Infected Local
Areas) Order 2020 [P.U. (A) 87/2020] remains in force.
(2)
The exemption granted under subrule (1) is subject to the condition that the persons specified in column (1) of the Schedule shall apply to renew his motor vehicle licence, driving licence or vocational licence, as the case may be, within thirty days upon the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases
(Declaration of Infected Local Areas) Order 2020 ceasing to have effect.

Persons to whom Exemption Applies (2) Provisions
Any person whose motor vehicle licence has expired Section 15 of the Act Rule 15 of the Motor Vehicles (Registration and Licensing) Rules 1959 [L.N. 173/1959]
Any person whose driving licence has expired Section 26 of the Act Rule 3a of the Motor Vehicles (Driving Licence) Rules 1992 [P.U (A) 409/1992]
Any person whose vocational licence has expired Section 56 of the Act Section 57 of the Act Rule 3a of the Public Service Vehicles (Licensing and Conduct of Drivers, Conductors and Passengers) Rules 1959 [L.N 177/1959] Rule 4a of the Good Vehicles (Licensing of Drivers) Rules 1965 [L.N 158/1965]
