ORDER UNDER SUBSECTION 36(1)

Preamble

Bahawasanya, satu penyakit yang berjangkit yang dinamakan penyakit flu unggas di kalangan unggas berkemungkinan merebak di Negeri Terengganu. Dan bahawasanya, adalah menjadi hasrat untuk mencegah merebaknya flu unggas di Negeri Terengganu. Maka oleh yang demikian, saya, Dato’ Seri Idris bin Jusoh, Menteri Besar Terengganu, pada menjalankan kuasa yang diberikan oleh subseksyen 36(1) Akta Binatang 1953 [Akta 647], mengisytiharkan bahawa mulai dari 1 Julai 2006, Negeri Terengganu menjadi suatu kawasan kawalan flu unggas. Dan bagi maksud tersebut, melarang pengalihan dan pergerakan apa-apa burung atau karkas, atau bahagiannya (termasuk tija, bulu, organ dan benda lain yang seumpamanya)—

(a)

masuk ke dalam Negeri Terengganu, kecuali dengan kebenaran bertulis

Pengarah Negeri Perkhidmatan Veterinar di Semenanjung Malaysia di tempat pengalihan dan pergerakan burung atau karkas, atau bahagiannya

(termasuk tija, bulu, organ dan benda lain yang seumpamanya) berasal;

dan

NEGERI TERENGGANU DARUL IMAN

keluar dari Negeri Terengganu atau di antara tempat-tempat di dalam

Negeri Terengganu kecuali dengan kebenaran bertulis Pengarah

Perkhidmatan Veterinar Negeri Terengganu.

Seksyen 2

Pemberitahuan Warta No. 22 (Tr. P.U. 4) yang disiarkan dalam Warta

Kerajaan Negeri Terengganu pada 28 Oktober 2004 adalah dibatalkan berkuat kuasa mulai 1 Julai 2006.

Opening note

Preamble

Whereas, the disease of fowl plague is an infectious disease among birds and it may introduced in the State of Terengganu. And whereas it is desired to prevent the introduction of fowl plague in the State of Terengganu. Now, therefore, I, Dato’ Seri Idris bin Jusoh, Menteri Besar of Terengganu, in exercise of the powers conferred by subsection 36(1) of the Animals Act 1953 [Act 647], declare with effect from 1 July 2006, the State of Terengganu to be a fowl plague control area; And for that purpose, prohibit the removal and movement of any bird or carcase or part thereof (including droppings, feathers, organs and other similar things)—

(a)

into the State of Terengganu, except with the written permission of the State Director of Veterinary Services in Peninsular Malaysia where the removal and movement of the bird or carcase, or part thereof

(including droppings, feathers, organs and other similar things)

originated; and

(b)

out of the State of Terengganu or between places in the State of

Terengganu, except with the written permission of the Director of

Veterinary Services, Terengganu.

Seksyen 2

Gazette notification No. 22 (Tr. P.U. 4) published in the Government of Terengganu Gazette at 28 October 2004 is revoked with effect from 1 July 2006.
