Seksyen 1
Amendment to Statute XV:
Delete clauses 3 and 4 and substitute thereof the following—
"3 (a) Subject to clauses 4 and 5 of this Statute, assistant lecturers, lecturers, senior lecturers and readers of a Faculty shall be appointed by the Council on the advice of a Board of Selection set up by the Council for that Faculty. Such Board of Selection shall consist of:
(i)
the Vice-Chancellor, who shall be Chairman;
(ii)
two permanent members of the Council appointed by the Council from amongst its members;
The Council shall also appoint from amongst its members two other members who shall represent the permanent members in their absence or disability to attend meetings of the Board of Selection;
(iii)
two permanent members of the Senate elected by the Senate from amongst its members.
The Senate shall also elect from amongst its members two other members who shall represent the permanent members in their absence or disability to attend meetings of the Board of Selection.
(iv)
two representatives of the Faculty elected by the Faculty from amongst its members;
73 to 81 of Part IV, and sections 103 to 105 and section 108 of Part VII of the said Act shall come into force in the whole of Malaysia.
