Section 20

Save with the sanction of the Court, no person shall make or give or agree to make or give, or receive or agree to receive, or attempt to obtain, any payment, remuneration or reward whatsoever in connexion, directly or indirectly, with the adoption or proposed adoption of infant, except in consideration of the professional services of a qualified advocate within the meaning of the Advocates Ordinance [Cap. 2].

Any person who contravenes the provisions of this section shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine of one thousand ringgit and imprisonment for six months.
