Preamble

An Act to amend the Evidence Act 1950. [ ] ENACTED by the Parliament of Malaysia as follows: Short title

Section 1

This Act may be cited as the Evidence (Amendment) Act 2017.

Section 2

New section 32a

The Evidence Act 1950 [Act 56] is amended by inserting after section 32 the following section:

“Admissibility of evidence given under section 265a of the

Criminal Procedure Code 32a. Notwithstanding any other provision in this Act, evidence taken in accordance with section 265a of the Criminal Procedure

Code shall be admissible in any criminal proceedings.”.
