Section 16
(1)
Every producer of prescribed goods shall keep such books of accounts or other records as the Director General may direct showing full and true records written up to date of all transactions which affect or may affect his liability to levy under this Act and shall keep those books of accounts or other records in the national language or English language.
(2)
The books of accounts and other records which are required to be kept in accordance with this section shall be preserved for a period

of six years from the latest date in respect of the production of prescribed goods to which such documents relate.
