Section 4

Power of House to enquire into contraventions

For the purposes of this Act, the House is hereby declared to possess all such powers and jurisdiction as may be necessary for enquiring into, judging, and pronouncing upon the commission of any such acts, matters, or things as are made punishable as contempts under section 29 and awarding and carrying into execution the punishment therefor provided by this Act.
