17. Issue of certificate for marriage

“Registrar” means a Registrar of Marriages appointed under this Act and includes the Registrar General, an Assistant Registrar General, a Superintendent Registrar, a Deputy Registrar and an Assistant Registrar of Marriages;

expiration of twenty-one days from the date of publication of the notice under section 15 and upon payment to him of the prescribed fee, issue his certificate for marriage in the prescribed form.
