s 20New sections 21a and 21b

The principal Act is amended by inserting after section 21

the following sections:

“Public servant 21a. The members of the Lembaga while discharging their duties or performing their functions or exercising their powers under this Act or any regulations made under this Act shall be deemed to be a public servant within the meaning of the Penal Code [Act 574].

Application of Public Authorities Protection Act 1948 21b. The Public Authorities Protection Act 1948 [Act 198]

shall apply to any action, suit, prosecution or proceedings against the Lembaga or any member of the Lembaga in respect of any act, neglect or default done or committed by it or him in good faith or any omission by it or him in good faith, in such capacity.”.
