s 3National Advisory Council for Rubber Price Stabilization

(1)

There is hereby established, for the purpose of this Act and to advice the Minister on matters pertaining to the stabilization of the price of rubber, the National Advisory Council for Rubber

Price Stabilization.

(2)

The Council shall consist of—

(a)

the Secretary General of Ministry of Plantation Industries and Commodities as Chairman;

(b)

a representative of the Treasury, Malaysia;

(c)

a representative of the Economic Planning Unit, Prime

Minister’s Department;

(d)

*a representative of the Ministry of General Planning and Socio Economic Research;

(e)

a representative of the Bank Negara Malaysia; and

(f)

a person knowledgeable in the rubber industry appointed by the Minister.

(3)

The Minister may appoint not more than three additional members to the Council.

(4)

The provisions of the Schedule shall apply to the Council and its members.
