s 24New section 28A

The principal Act is amended by inserting after section 28 the following section:

s 28A"Prosecution

(1)

No prosecution for any offence under this Act or any regulations made thereunder shall be instituted except with the consent in writing of the Public Prosecutor.

(2)

The Director of Marine or any authorized officer, authorized in writing by the Public Prosecutor, may conduct the prosecution of any offence committed under this Act or any regulations made thereunder.".
