s 139Obtaining takaful outside Malaysia

(1)

Except with the prior written approval of the Bank, no person shall enter into or cause to be entered into, a contract of general takaful of such description as may be prescribed by the Bank with a takaful operator other than a licensed general takaful operator.

(2)

The Bank may grant an approval under subsection (1) after consultation with the Minister.

(3)

A person shall provide to the Bank such information on any contract of general takaful entered into, or caused to be entered into with a takaful operator other than a licensed general takaful operator, as the Bank may require by notice in writing within such period as may be specified in the notice.
