This Act may be cited as the Central Bank of Malaysia
(Amendment) Act 2020.
(2)
This Act comes into operation on a date to be appointed by the Minister by notification in the Gazette.

Opening note
Preamble
- An Act to amend the Central Bank of Malaysia Act 2009. [ ] ENACTED by the Parliament of Malaysia as follows: Short title and commencement
Section 2
Deletion of sections 62, 63 and 64
The Central Bank of Malaysia Act 2009 [Act 701], which is referred to as the “principal Act” in this Act, is amended by deleting sections 62, 63 and 64.
Section 3
New section 66a
The principal Act is amended by inserting after section 66
the following section:
“66a. The powers and functions of the Bank under the
Currency Act 2020 [Act 827] are in addition to, and not in derogation of, the powers and functions of the Bank under this Act.”.
Section 4
Amendment of section 76
Section 76 of the principal Act is amended by inserting after the words “Unless otherwise provided in this Act” the words
“or any other written law”.
