The text as we hold it

This Act may be cited as the Banking and Financial Institutions Act 1989, and shall come into force on such date as the Minister may, by notification in the Gazette, appoint, and the Minister may appoint different dates for the coming into force of—

(a)

different provisions of this Act; or

(b)

all or different provisions of this Act in respect of different classes or categories of institutions.
