Application of certain provisions to instruments not being bills of exchange

Section 86
(1)

The provisions of this Act relating to crossed cheques shall, so far as applicable, have effect in relation to instruments (other than cheques) to which section 85 applies as they have effect in relation to cheques.

(2)

Sections 74A and 74B shall, so far as applicable, have effect in relation to instruments referred to in paragraph 85(2)(b) as they have effect in relation to cheques.

(3)

Section 74A shall, so far as applicable, have effect in relation to instruments referred to in paragraph 85(2)(c) as they have effect in relation to cheques.
