The Board may, subject to such conditions, limitations or restrictions as it thinks fit to impose, delegate any of its functions, except the function under paragraph 5(1)(a), to—

“Board” means the National Biosafety Board established under subsection 4(1);
any member of the Board;
the Advisory Committee or any of its members;
Advisory Committee
“Advisory Committee” means the Genetic Modification Advisory Committee established under section 6;
any committee established by the Board; or
the Director General.
Director General
“Director General” means the Director General appointed under subsection 8(1);
A delegation under this section shall not preclude the Board itself from performing or exercising at any time any of the functions so delegated.
