Section 37C
(1)
The Registrar-General, the Superintendent-Registrar and the Registrar may investigate the commission of any offence under this
Act.
(2)
For the avoidance of doubt, it is declared that for the purposes of this Act, the Registrar-General, the Superintendent-Registrar and the Registrar shall have all or any of the special powers of a police officer of whatever rank in relation to police investigations in seizable cases as provided for under the Criminal Procedure Code [Act 593], and such powers shall be in addition to the powers provided for under this Act and not in derogation thereof.
