Power to report suspected offence
of Central Bank of Malaysia Act 2009
Where the Bank in the course of the exercise of any of its powers, or the discharge of any of its duties, or the performance of any of its functions, under this Act, or under any law enforced by the Bank referred to in the Second Schedule or other written law, suspects that any person has committed any offence under this Act, or any of the
Acts referred to in the Second Schedule, or any other written law, it shall be lawful for the Bank to give information of such commission to a police officer in charge of a police station or to any other police officer, or to convey any or all information in relation to such offence to any financial institution or other person affected by such offence, or to any authority or person having power to investigate under, or enforce, the provision of the law under which the offence is suspected by the Bank to have been committed.

Subsection (1) shall have full force and effect, notwithstanding anything inconsistent with, or contrary to it, in the Act or any law enforced by the Bank referred to in the Second Schedule or in any other written law.
