Section 1
(1)
This Act may be cited as the Destitute Persons Act 1977
and shall apply to the whole of Malaysia.
(2)
This Act shall come into force on such date as the Minister may by notification in the Gazette appoint and different dates may be appointed for different States in Malaysia and for different provisions of this Act.
