Breach of trust
of Development Financial Institutions Act 2002
Any director or officer of a prescribed institution who, being in any manner entrusted with property in any trust fund or with any dominion over property in any trust fund either solely or jointly with any other person, dishonestly misappropriates, or converts to his own use, that property, or dishonestly uses or disposes of that property in violation of the provisions of this Part prescribing the mode in which such trust is to be discharged, or wilfully suffers any other person to do so, commits criminal breach of trust.

Any person who commits criminal breach of trust as set out in subsection (1) commits an offence and shall on conviction be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding ten years or to a fine not exceeding twice the value of the property which is the subject matter of the breach or fifty million ringgit, whichever is higher, or to both.
