This Order may be cited a the Fees (Registration of Contractors for Engineering and Building Works) Order, 1985
and shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of January, 1986.

ENGINEERING AND BUILDING WORKS) ORDER, 1985

Preamble
- In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 2 of the Fees Enactment, 1981, the Yang di-Pertua Negeri has made the following Order: -

(1)
The following fees shall be payable by registered contractors for engineering and building works in accordance with Instruction 184 (a) of the Treasury Instructions:-

Such fees shall be payable in advance in January of each year or the month in which the contractor is registered.
Section 4
The fee for annual renewal of registration shall be fifty per-centum of the registration fee of the class concerned.
Section 5
A processing fee of $100.00 shall be imposed for Class A, B, BX and C and $50.00 for Class D, E, EX and F.
Section 6
Where a registered contractor for engineering and building works of any class is registered in a higher class at any time before the end of the year, he shall also be required to pay the difference between the fee payable for the higher class and that payable for the class in which he was previously registered.
Section 7
The Fees (Registration of Contractors for Engineering, Building Works and Supplies) Order, 1982 published in
Gazette Notification No. S 13 of 1982 is hereby revoked.
