THE FISHERIES (PROHIBITION OF PIRANHAS)
REGULATIONS, 1966
Opening note
Preamble
- In exercise of the powers conferred upon the Yang di-Pertua Negara by section 16 of the Fisheries Ordinance, 1963, the following Regulations are hereby made: -
Section 2
The importation, sale, cultivation or keeping of live piranhas (Serrasalmus) is hereby prohibited.
Section 3
Any person who contravenes the provisions of regulation 2 of these Regulations shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable to a fine of one thousand dollars and to imprisonment for six months.
