Serious accidents to be reported
Whenever any accident or fire causing or resulting in loss of life or hurt to any person or serious damage to any property has occurred in connection with any distribution pipeline or retail or use of gas through piping system or part thereof, the consumer or the licensee, as the case may be, shall report the accident or fire to the Commission by the quickest means available, and subsequently with the least possible delay shall report in writing the facts of the matter so far as they are known to them respectively.

Any person who contravenes subsection (1) commits an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding one million ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to both.
