Section 26

the Protector or police officer who authorizes such examination or treatment;

the medical officer who examines or treats the child; and

all persons acting in aid of the medical officer, shall not incur any liability at law by reason only that a child is examined or treated pursuant to that section.

Nothing contained in subsection (1) relieves a medical officer from liability in respect of the examination or treatment of a child which liability he would have been subject to had the examination or treatment been carried out or administered with the consent of the parent or guardian of the child or person having authority to consent to the examination or treatment.
