  1. IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 86 of the Animals Act 1953 [Act 647], the Minister makes the following rules: Citation and commencement 1.

(1)

These rules may be cited as the Animals (Control of Slaughter)

(Amendment) Rules 2018.

These Rules come into operation on 1 December 2018.

Amendment of rule 17 2.

The Animals (Control of Slaughter) Rules 2009 [P.U. (A) 213/2009] are amended in rule 17—

(a)

by substituting for the words “one hundred ringgit” the words

“ten thousand ringgit”; and

by substituting for the words

“twenty ringgit”

the words

“five hundred ringgit”.
