Section 17
Conditions and obligations
of Land (Group Settlement Areas) Act 1960
There shall by virtue of this section be implied in every document of title to a rural holding the following conditions and obligations:
(a)
the whole area of the holding, other than that part which is used for residential purposes as provided in paragraph
(d)
shall be brought fully under cultivation with the appropriate crops by the date specified by the Collector and shall thereafter at all times be maintained and cultivated according to the rules of good husbandry;
(b)
no crops, other than the appropriate crops, shall at any time be planted upon any portion of the holding;
(c)
the holding shall not at any time be used for the erection of any building, other than a building together with the out-buildings and appurtenances thereof used solely as a dwelling house by the holder;
(d)
any such dwelling house shall be erected upon such part of the holding as the Collector may direct and no other part of the holding shall be used for residential purposes.
