Section 19
of Legislative Assembly Privileges Immunities And Powers Enactment 1963
Section 19
Any person who ―
(a)
tampers with, deters, threatens, molests, beguiles or in any way unduly influences any witness in regard to any evidence to be given by him before the
Assembly or any committee; or
(b)
threatens, molests or in any way punishes, damnifies or injures, or attempts to punish, damnify or injure, any other person for having given evidence before the
Assembly or any committee or on account of any evidence which such other person has given before the Assembly or a committee, shall be guilty of an offence and liable to imprisonment for three years and a fine of seven thousand ringgit.
