Section 27A
(1)
No moneylender shall employ any agent or canvasser for the purpose of inviting any person to borrow money or to enter into any transaction involving the borrowing of money from a moneylender.
(2)
No person shall act as agent or canvasser, or demand or receive directly or indirectly any sum or other value consideration by way of commission or otherwise for introducing or undertaking to introduce to a moneylender any person desiring to borrow money.
(3)
Any person who contravenes subsections (1) and (2) shall be guilty of an offence under this Act and shall be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to a fine not exceeding fifty thousand ringgit or to both.
