Opening note
suatu badan sukan paintball yang berdaftar di bawah Akta Pembangunan
Sukan 1997 [Akta 576] daripada pemakaian subseksyen 3(1) Akta berkenaan dengan senjata dan amunisi yang dimaksudkan semata-mata bagi maksud sukan paintball tertakluk kepada syarat yang berikut:
senjata dan amunisi bagi maksud sukan paintball hendaklah mematuhi spesifikasi dan syarat sebagaimana yang dinyatakan dalam Jadual;
badan sukan paintball hendaklah mengemukakan bagi pemeriksaan semua penanda paintball di bawah badan sukan paintball itu ke Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah yang berdekatan dalam tempoh tiga puluh hari dari tarikh permulaan kuat kuasa
Pemberitahuan ini;
badan sukan paintball hendaklah membuat permohonan bagi pendaftaran penanda paintball kepada Ketua Pegawai Polis Negeri dalam apa-apa borang sebagaimana yang ditentukan dan tertakluk kepada apa-apa fi sebagaimana yang dinyatakan dalam
Jadual Kedua Akta apabila permohonan bagi pendaftaran itu diluluskan;
(iv)
badan sukan paintball hendaklah menyimpan penanda paintball yang telah didaftarkan dalam suatu tempat penyimpanan yang mematuhi spesifikasi sebagaimana yang ditentukan dalam garis panduan;

(v)
badan sukan paintball hendaklah menyenggara suatu daftar berhubung dengan pendaftaran penanda paintball yang telah diluluskan oleh Ketua Pegawai Polis Negeri; dan
(vi)
Menteri boleh menentukan apa-apa syarat lain yang difikirkannya perlu dalam garis panduan; dan
(b)
mana-mana anggota berdaftar suatu badan sukan paintball yang berdaftar di bawah Akta Pembangunan Sukan 1997 daripada pemakaian subseksyen 3(2) Akta berkenaan dengan senjata dan amunisi yang dimaksudkan semata-mata bagi maksud sukan paintball dengan syarat bahawa penanda paintball telah didaftarkan oleh badan sukan paintball itu menurut Pemberitahuan ini.
2.
Pemberitahuan ini hendaklah mula berkuat kuasa pada 1 Februari 2017.
JADUAL
SPESIFIKASI DAN SYARAT SENJATA DAN AMUNISI
Kelengkapan paintball Spesifikasi dan syarat
1.
Penanda paintball
penanda elektronik atau mekanikal yang tidak menyerupai senjata sebenar;
mempunyai tanda pengenalan badan sukan paintball berserta dengan nombor siri secara berturutan;
(c)
mempunyai tanda pengenalan dan nombor siri kilang pengeluar;

Laras
tidak melebihi sepuluh laras bagi setiap penanda paintball;
kaliber berukuran 0.685+-0.005 inci;
(c)
panjang antara 8 hingga 16 inci;
3.
Pemuat berada di bahagian atas penanda paintball;
4.
Tangki gas
saiz tidak melebihi 1.5 liter atau 71 inci padu;
berbentuk silinder;
(c)
tekanan tidak melebihi 4500 psi @ 310 bar;
mematuhi standard “Gas Tanks - MS 2560:2014 -
ISCF - Gas cylinders - Safe handling (First revision)
(ISO 11625:2007, MOD)” yang ditentukan di bawah
Akta Standard Malaysia 1996 [Akta 549];
5.
Palet
mempunyai diameter berukuran 0.685+-0.005 inci;
diperbuat daripada gelatin, air dan campuran bahan perwarna yang tidak toksik.

ARMS ACT 1960
NOTIFICATON UNDER SECTION 60
IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 60 of the Arms Act 1960 [Act 206], the Minister exempts—
(a)
a paintball sports body registered under the Sports Development
Act 1997 [Act 576] from the application of subsection 3(1) of the Act in respect of arms and ammunition intended solely for the purpose of the sport of paintball subject to the following conditions:
(i)
the arms and ammunition for the purpose of the sport of paintball shall comply with the specifications and conditions as specified in the Schedule;
(ii)
the paintball sports body shall submit for inspection all paintball markers under the paintball sports body to the nearest
District Police Station Headquarters within a period of thirty days from the date of commencement of this Notification;
(iii)
the paintball sports body shall make an application for the registration of the paintball marker to the Chief Police Officer of the State in such form as may be determined and subject to such fees as specified in the Second Schedule of the Act upon approval of the application for registration;
(iv)
the paintball sports body shall store the paintball marker which has been registered in a storage that complies with the specifications as determined in the guidelines;

(v)
the paintball sports body shall maintain a register in relation to the registration of paintball marker which has been approved by the
Chief Police Officer of the State; and
(vi)
the Minister may determine any other conditions as he deems necessary in the guidelines; and
(b)
any registered member of the paintball sports body registered under the
Sports Development Act 1997 from the application of subsection 3(2) of the Act in respect of arms and ammunition intended solely for the purpose of the sport of paintball provided that the paintball marker has been registered by the paintball sports body pursuant to this Notification.
2.
This Notification shall have effect on 1 February 2017.
SPECIFICATIONS AND CONDITIONS OF AN ARMS AND AMMUNITION

Paintball marker
(a)
electronic or mechanical marker that does not resemble a real gun;
(b)
has the identification marks of the paintball sports body together with the serial numbers in sequence;
(c)
has the identification marks and serial numbers of the manufacturer factory;

Barrel
not exceeding ten barrels for each paintball marker;
calibre of 0.685+-0.005 inches;
length between 8 to 16 inches;
3.
Loader be on top of the paintball marker;
4.
Gas tank
(a)
not exceeding 1.5 litres or 71 cubic inches in size;
(b)
cylindrical in shape;
(c)
pressure of not exceeding 4500 psi @ 310 bar;
(d)
comply with the standards of “Gas Tanks –
MS 2560:2014 – ISCF – Gas cylinders – Safe handling (First revision) (ISO 11625:2007,
MOD)” as specified under the Standards of
Malaysia Act 1996 [Act 549]”;
5.
Pallet
(a)
has a diameter of 0.685+-0.005 inches;
(b)
made of gelatin, water and non-toxic mixed colouring material.
