NOTIFICATION UNDER SECTION 60

Opening note

Preamble

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 60 of the Arms Act 1960 [Act 206], the Minister exempts the United States of America Army Pacific from—

(a)

the application of subsection 3(2) of the Act in respect of arms and ammunition intended solely for the purpose of training for the

Bilateral Training Keris Strike 2023 between the United States of America

Army Pacific and the Malaysian Armed Forces in Kelantan and Terengganu provided that the arms licence granted to the United States of America

Army Pacific in respect of the arms and ammunition is in force; and

(b)

the application of paragraphs 5(1)(a) and (b) of the Act in respect of arms and ammunition intended solely for the purpose of the Bilateral

Training Keris Strike 2023 between the United States of America

Army Pacific and the Malaysian Armed Forces in Kelantan and Terengganu.
