PADA menjalankan kuasa yang diberikan oleh seksyen 60 Akta Senjata 1960 [Akta 206], Menteri mengecualikan angkatan tentera United Kingdom, New Zealand, Australia dan Singapura daripada—

(a)

pemakaian subseksyen 3(2) Akta berkenaan dengan senjata dan amunisi yang dimaksudkan semata-mata bagi maksud latihan bagi EX BL 23

antara angkatan tentera United Kingdom, New Zealand, Australia dan Singapura dengan Angkatan Tentera Malaysia di Butterworth,

Pulau Pinang dan Kuantan, Pahang dengan syarat bahawa lesen senjata yang diberikan kepada angkatan tentera United Kingdom, New Zealand,

Australia dan Singapura berkenaan dengan senjata dan amunisi itu berkuat kuasa; dan

(b)

pemakaian perenggan 5(1)(a) dan (b) Akta berkenaan dengan senjata dan amunisi yang dimaksudkan semata-mata bagi maksud EX BL 23

antara angkatan tentera United Kingdom, New Zealand, Australia dan Singapura dengan Angkatan Tentera Malaysia di Butterworth,

NOTIFICATION UNDER SECTION 60

Opening note

Preamble

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 60 of the Arms Act 1960 [Act 206], the Minister exempts the armed forces of United Kingdom, New Zealand, Australia and Singapore from—

(a)

the application of subsection 3(2) of the Act in respect of arms and ammunition intended solely for the purpose of training for the EX BL 23

between the armed forces of United Kingdom, New Zealand, Australia and Singapore and the Malaysian Armed Forces in Butterworth, Penang and Kuantan, Pahang provided that the arms licence granted to the armed forces of United Kingdom, New Zealand, Australia and Singapore in respect of the arms and ammunition is in force; and

(b)

the application of paragraphs 5(1)(a) and (b) of the Act in respect of arms and ammunition intended solely for the purpose of the EX BL 23

between the armed forces of United Kingdom, New Zealand, Australia and Singapore and the Malaysian Armed Forces in Butterworth, Penang and Kuantan, Pahang.
