IN exercise of the powers conferred by subsection 4(1)

of the Explosives Act 1957 [Act 207], the Minister makes the following notification:

Citation and commencement 1.

(1)

This notification may be cited as the Explosives Prohibition Notification 2025.

(2)

This Notification comes into operation on 23 January 2025.

Prohibition of possession or importation of fireworks 2.

(1)

The Minister prohibits the possession or importation of fireworks other than those specified in the Schedule.

(2)

The prohibition under subparagraph (1) shall not apply to the possession or importation of fireworks by the holder of a valid permit or licence in that behalf issued under the Explosives Rules 1923 [F.M.S G.N. 3087/23].

Revocation 3.

The Explosives Prohibition Notification 1992 [P.U. (B) 40/1992] is revoked.
