Opening note

Preamble

PADA menjalankan kuasa yang diberikan oleh subseksyen 7(1) Akta Penjara 1995 [Akta 537], Menteri menetapkan lokap di balai polis yang dinyatakan dalam Jadual sebagai tempat bagi pengurungan orang, yang direman atau dihukum dengan apa-apa tempoh pemenjaraan, tidak melebihi satu bulan.

PRISON ACT 1995

APPOINTMENT OF LOCK-UP TO BE A PLACE OF CONFINEMENT

IN exercise of the powers conferred by subsection 7(1) of the Prison Act 1995

[Act 537], the Minister appoints the lock-ups at the police stations specified in the Schedule to be places for the confinement of persons, remanded or sentenced to such terms of imprisonment, not exceeding one month.
