IN exercise of the powers conferred by subsection 1(3)
of the
Local
Government
(Amendment)
Act 2025

A1772], the
Minister, after consultation with the
State
Authority, appoints 15
August 2026
as the date on which the Act comes into operation in the States of Kelantan, Perak, Penang,
Selangor and Terengganu.
