Payment without grant of probate or letters of administration

Section 14

(1)
Notwithstanding any written law to the contrary, where a person to whom any payment is payable under this Ordinance dies before the payment is made and the amount remains unpaid, the amount so unpaid may be paid to his dependants without there being a grant of probate or letters of administration.
(2)
For the purpose of subsection (1), “unpaid” means unpaid by the Government or undrawn by the person to whom such payment is payable.
