CUSTOMS (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2014

Opening note

Preamble

IN exercise of the powers conferred by subsection 142 of the Customs Act 1967 [Act 235], the Minister makes the following regulations: Citation and commencement 1.

(1)

These regulations may be cited as the Customs (Amendment)

Regulations 2014.

(2)

These Regulations come into operation on 1 July 2014.

Amendment of regulation 19 2.

The Customs Regulations 1977 [P.U. (A) 162/1977], which are referred to as the “principal Regulations” in these Regulations, are amended in subregulation 19(1)—

(a)

by substituting for the words “$10” the words “RM20.00”; and

(b)

by substituting for the words “$48” the words “RM96.00”.

Amendment of regulation 25 3.

Subregulation 25(3) of the principal Regulations is amended by substituting for the words “$20” the words “RM40.00”.
