Preamble

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 29 of the Control of Padi and Rice Act 1994 [Act 522], the Minister makes the following regulations: Citation 1. These regulations may be cited as the Control of Padi and Rice (Licensing of Wholesalers and Retailers) (Amendment) Regulations 2014. Amendment of regulation 4 2. The Control of Padi and Rice (Licensing of Wholesalers and Retailers) Regulations 1996 [P.U. (A) 624/1996] which are referred to as the “principal Regulations” in these Regulations, are amended in subregulation 4(1) by deleting the words “, on application in writing,”. Amendment of regulation 9 3. The principal Regulations are amended in subregulation 9(5) by substituting for paragraph (a) the following paragraph: “(a) name of business;”. Substitution of Schedule 4. The principal Regulations are amended by substituting for the Schedule the following schedule: 8 “SCHEDULE FORM A (Regulation 4) Serial No.: REGULATIONS 1996 WHOLESALE LICENCE Licence No. : Reference No. : Licence is issued to: Name of business: Address of business premises: [is/is not a rice miller] to sell rice by WHOLESALE at the above business premises and to store rice at the following stores only: Address of Store Maximum Storage Limit Permitted (in metric tonnes) 9 This licence is valid from to Office of issue: Date of issue: Receipt no.: (Signature of Licensee) Director General (Official Stamp or Seal) Reminder: An application for the renewal of a licence shall be made not less than thirty days before the date of expiry of the licence. 10 FORM B (Regulation 4) Serial No.: REGULATIONS 1996 RETAIL LICENCE Licence No. : Reference No. : Licence is hereby granted to: Name of business: Address of business premises: to sell rice by RETAIL at the above business premises only.
