ertinya apa-apa bahan yang digunakan dalam pemprosesan bahan mentah, makanan atau ramuan, untuk memenuhi maksud teknologi yang berkaitan dengan rawatan atau pemprosesan, tetapi tidak melaksanakan fungsi teknologi dalam produk akhir makanan dan mungkin mengakibatkan kehadiran residu yang tidak dapat dielakkan dalam produk akhir makanan.

Bahan yang digunakan sebagai bahan bantuan pemprosesan hendaklah mematuhi

FOOD (AMENDMENT) (NO. 3) REGULATIONS 2019

  1. IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 34 of the Food Act 1983 [Act 281], the Minister makes the following regulations: Citation 1. These regulations may be cited as the Food (Amendment) (No. 3) Regulations 2019. New regulation 19A

The Food Regulations 1985 [P.U. (A) 437/1985], which are referred to as the

“principal Regulations” in these Regulations, are amended by inserting after regulation 19 the following regulation:

Amendment of regulation 130

Regulation 161 of the principal Regulations is amended by inserting after subregulation (2) the following subregulation:

“(2A) Notwithstanding subregulation (2), canned fish in sambal tumis shall contain not less than 35 percent fish.”.

shall undergo cleaning processes including sorting, soaking, removal of feathers and impurities, with or without drying.

For the purpose of paragraph (1)(b), amylase, lipase and protease may be used as permitted enzyme during cleaning process, singly or in combination, and the maximum permitted proportion shall be governed by good manufacturing practice.

Amendment of regulation 340 8.

Regulation 340 of the principal Regulations is amended—

Soya sauce, soya bean sauce or kicap shall be commercially sterile with water activity (aw) lower than 0.85 at a temperature of 25oC or pH less than 4.5.”.

Subregulation 375(1) of the principal Regulations is amended —
