FARMERS’ ORGANIZATION (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2014
Opening note
Preamble
- IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 35 of the Farmers’ Organization Act 1973 [Act 109], the Farmers’ Organization Authority, with the approval of the Minister, makes the following regulations: Citation 1. These regulations may be cited as the Farmers’ Organization (Amendment) Regulations 2014. Amendment of regulation 44 2. The Farmers’ Organization Regulations 1983 [P.U. (A) 303/1983] which are referred to as the “principal Regulations” in these Regulations, are amended in subregulation (4) by substuting for the word “ballot” the words “secret ballot”. Amendment of regulation 45 3. Regulation 45 is amended—
(a)
in subregulation (1), in the English language text by substituting for the words “One ballot containing the names of all the candidates to the Board of Directors and another ballot” with the words “One secret ballot containing the names of all the candidates to the Board of Directors and another secret ballot”;
(b)
in subregulation (2), in the English language text by inserting before the word “ballot” the word “secret”; and
(c)
in subregulation (3), in the English language text by inserting before the word “ballot” the word “secret”.

Amendment of regulation 48 4.
Regulation 48 is amended—
(a)
in subregulation (1), in the English language text by substituting for the word “ballot” the words “secret vote”; and
(b)
by deleting paragraph (1)(a).
