  1. IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 19 of the Judges’ Remuneration Act 1971, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, after consultation with the Chief Justice, makes the following regulations:

These regulations may be cited as the Judges’ Remuneration

(Amendment of Fifth Schedule) Regulations 1998 and shall be deemed to have come into force on 1 January 1996.

The Judges’ Remuneration Act 1971 is amended in the Fifth

Schedule by substituting for the word “RM3000.00” in paragraph 4

the word “RM2000.00”,
