Preamble

PADA menjalankan kuasa yang diberikan oleh seksyen 12 Akta Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya 1957 [Akta 31], Yang di-Pertuan Agong membuat peraturan peraturan yang berikut: Nama dan permulaan kuat kuasa

Seksyen 1

(1)

Peraturan-peraturan ini bolehlah dinamakan Peraturan-Peraturan Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya (Pindaan Jadual) (No. 2) 2000.

(2)

Peraturan-Peraturan ini hendaklah disifatkan telah mula berkuat kuasa pada 1 Januari 2000.

Pindaan Jadual

Seksyen 2

Jadual kepada Akta Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya 1957 dipinda dalam perenggan 1—

(a)

dengan menggantikan angka "6,460" dengan angka "7,106";

(b)

dengan menggantikan angka "4,850" dengan angka "5,335"; dan

(c)

dengan menggantikan angka "4,040" dengan angka "4,444".

ELECTION COMMISSION (AMENDMENT OF SCHEDULE) (No.2) REGULATIONS 2000

Opening note

Preamble

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 12 of the Election Commission Act 1957 [Act 31], the Yang di-Pertuan Agong makes the following regulations: Citation and commencement

Seksyen 1

(1)

These regulations may be cited as the Election Commission (Amendment of Schedule) (No.2) Regulations 2000.

(2)

These Regulations shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1 January 2000.

Seksyen 2

Amendment of Schedule

The Schedule to the Election Commission Act 1957 is amended in paragraph 1—

(a)

by substituting for the figures "6,460" the figures "7,106";

(b)

by substituting for the figures "4,850" the figures "5,335"; and

(c)

by substituting for the figures "4,040" the figures "4,444".
