Section 17

⎯(1)

The Corporation may, subject to such conditions, limitations or restrictions as it thinks fit, delegate to any committee or to the Chairman the power and authority to carry out on its behalf such powers, duties or functions by this Ordinance vested in the

Corporation as the Corporation may determine, except the power to borrow money, raise loans or make regulations; and any power or function so delegated may be exercised or performed by such committee, or the Chairman, as the case may be, in the name and on behalf of the Corporation.

(2)

Without prejudice to the generality of subsection (1) the

Corporation may delegate to the Chairman, any of its other members, committees or any officer or servant, authority to sanction expenditure from the funds or any other money under the control of the

Corporation up to such limit as the Corporation shall in such case specify.
