[P.U. (A) 154/1977], yang disebut “Perintah ibu” dalam Perintah ini, dipinda dalam teks bahasa kebangsaan dengan menggantikan perkataan “sepirit” di mana-mana jua terdapat dengan perkataan “spirit”.

dengan perkataan “lapan liter dalam mana-mana satu hari”.

Jadual Kedua kepada Perintah ibu dipinda—

“(c) menyimpan rekod butir-butir terperinci semua penerimaan dan penjualan alkohol mutlak dan spirit diperelok sebagaimana yang ditentukan oleh Ketua Pengarah dalam permit;”;

dengan menggantikan noktah di hujung subbutiran 3(d) dengan koma bernoktah; dan

(c)

dengan memasukkan selepas subbutiran 3(d) subbutiran yang berikut:

“(e) permohonan untuk memperbaharui permit hendaklah dibuat secara bertulis kepada pegawai kanan eksais sekurang-kurangnya sembilan puluh hari sebelum tarikh tamat tempoh permit itu.”.

EXCISE ACT 1976

EXCISE (SALE BY RETAIL OF INTOXICATING LIQUOR BY CHEMISTS)

(AMENDMENT) ORDER 2019

IN exercise of the powers conferred by subsection 32(3)

of the

Excise Act 1976 [Act 176], the Minister makes the following order:

Citation and commencement 1.

(1)

This order may be cited as the Excise (Sale by Retail of Intoxicating

Liquor by Chemists) (Amendment) Order 2019.

(2)

This Order comes into operation on 1 January 2020.

General amendment 2.

The Excise (Sale by Retail of Intoxicating Liquor by Chemists) Order 1977

[P.U. (A) 154/1977], which is referred to as the “principal Order” in this Order, is amended in the national language text by substituting for the word “sepirit” wherever appearing the word “spirit”.

Amendment of paragraph 2 3.

Paragraph 2 of the principal Order is amended by substituting for the words

“2 gallons” the words “eight litres in any one day”.

Amendment of Second Schedule 4.

The Second Schedule to the principal Order is amended—

“(c) keep records the detailed particulars of all receipts and sales of absolute alcohol and rectified spirit as may be determined by Director

General in permit;”;

(b)

by substituting the full stop at the end of the subitem 3(d) a semicolon; and

(c)

by inserting after subitem 3(d) the following subitem:

“(e) application to renew a permit shall be made in writing to the senior officer of excise at least ninety days before the date of expiry of the permit.”.
