Preamble

PADA menjalankan kuasa-kuasa yang diberi oleh seksyen 50 (1) Akta Institiut Piawaian dan Penyelidikan Perindustrian Malaysia (Perbadanan) 1975, Menteri membuat perintah yang berikut: "(2) Semua rujukan dalam mana-mana undang-undang bertulis mengenai sesuatu badan yang dibubarkan hendaklah, apabila Akta ini mula berkuatkuasa, ditafsirkan sebagai rujukan mengenai Institiut, dan semua rujukan dalam manamana undang-undang bertulis mengenai Pengarah Institiut Piawaian Malaysia atau Pengarah Institiut Negara bagi Penyelidikan Sains dan Perusahaan hendaklah, apabila Akta ini mula berkuatkuasa, ditafsirkan sebagai rujukan mengenai Pengawal Institiut.";

(b)

menggantikan angka "19" yang terdapat dalam seksyen 49 (1) dengan angka "18"; dan

Seksyen 2

Peruntukan-peruntukan peralihan yang terkandung dalam Bahagian IX Akta itu adalah diubahsuai dengan—

(a)

menomborkan semula peruntukan-peruntukan seksyen 42 yang ada sekarang sebagai seksyen-kecil (1) dan memasukkan seksyen-kecil baru (2) yang berikut:

(c)

menggantikan angka "18" yang terdapat dalam seksyen 49 (2) dengan angka "19".

Diperbuat pada 7 haribulan Julai 1976.

STANDARDS AND INDUSTRIAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF MALAYSIA (MODIFICATION) ORDER 1976

Opening note

Preamble

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 50 (1) of the Standards and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (Incorporation) Act 1975, the Minister makes the following order:

Seksyen 1

This order may be cited as the Standards and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (Modification) Order 1976, and shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 16th September 1975.

Seksyen 2

The transitional provisions contained in Part IX of the Act are modified by—

(a)

renumbering the existing provisions of section 42 as subsection (1) and inserting the following new subsection (2):

"(2) All reference in any written law to a dissolved body shall upon the commencement of this Act be construed as references to the Institute, and all references in any written law to the Director of the Standards Institution of Malaysia or the Director of the National Institute for Scientific and Industrial Research shall upon the commencement of this Act be construed as references to the Controller of the Institute.";

(b)

substituting the figure "18" for the figure "19" appearing in section 49 (1); and

(c)

substituting the figure "19" for the figure "18" appearing in section 49 (2).
