KENDERAAN YANG DIKECUALIKAN
1.
Mana-mana kenderaan yang membawa Yang di-Pertuan Agong atau Raja
Permaisuri Agong, Raja-Raja atau Permaisuri Baginda, Yang di-Pertua Negeri bagi Negeri-Negeri Melaka, Pulau Pinang, Sabah dan Sarawak atau isteri-isteri mereka, Dato’-Dato’ Undang Negeri Sembilan atau Tengku Besar Tampin atau isteri-isteri mereka, Tengku Mahkota atau Raja Muda mana-mana Negeri atau isteri-isteri mereka, Raja Di-Hilir Perak atau isterinya atau mana-mana pembesar asing yang datang melawat.
2.
Mana-mana kenderaan Kerajaan yang membawa Perdana Menteri atau Timbalan
Perdana Menteri.
3.
Semua kenderaan tentera yang dimiliki oleh Kerajaan atau mana-mana angkatan pelawat yang ditakrifkan dalam Akta Angkatan Pelawat 1960 [Akta 432].
4.
Semua kenderaan Kerajaan yang digunakan semata-mata untuk tugas ambulans, tugas melawan kebakaran, tugas polis atau tugas menyelamat termasuk kenderaan pasukan penyelamat dari Jabatan Pertahanan Awam dan kenderaan dari Jabatan Penjara semasa menjalankan tugas mengiringi banduan.
5.
Semua kenderaan yang bukan kenderaan Kerajaan yang digunakan semata-mata untuk tugas ambulans, tugas melawan kebakaran dan tugas menyelamat.
6.
Semua motosikal beroda tiga atau beroda empat yang digunakan oleh mana-mana orang cacat.

FEDERAL ROADS (PRIVATE MANAGEMENT) (COLLECTION OF TOLLS)
(JAMBATAN SULTAN ABDUL HALIM MU’ADZAM SHAH) ORDER 2014
IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 2 of the Federal Roads
(Private Management) Act 1984 [Act 306], the Minister makes the following order:
Citation and commencement 1.
(1)
This order may be cited as the Federal Roads (Private Management)
(Collection of Tolls) (Jambatan Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah) Order 2014.
(2)
This Order comes into operation on 1 April 2014.
Authorization to collect tolls 2.
(1)
Jambatan Kedua Sdn. Bhd. or its agent is authorized—
(a)
for the period from 1 April 2014 to 7 November 2053, to demand, collect and retain the appropriate tolls specified in column (2) of the First Schedule according to the period specified in column (1)
of the First Schedule, for the use in either direction of any part of the road known as Jambatan Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah commencing from the Batu Maung Interchange at coordinates
N586043.349, E256371.651 of the Rectified Skew Orthomorphic
(RSO) Grid and ending at the Batu Kawan Interchange at coordinates N581396.462, E276071.127 RSO Grid, both distances measured from the Batu Maung Interchange which connects to the Tun Dr. Lim Chong Eu Expressway/Bayan Lepas
Expressway, including the Jambatan Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam
Shah Toll Plaza, the Batu Kawan Cloverleaf Interchange connecting to the main road of the Penang Development Corporation development area at Batu Kawan, Bandar Cassia Toll Plaza and the
Batu Kawan Interchange which connects to the North South

Expressway, being a distance of 24 kilometres, by the classes of vehicles specified in column (2) of the First Schedule; and
(b)
for the period from 1 April 2014 to 31 December 2038, to demand, collect and retain the appropriate tolls specified in column (2) of the
Second
Schedule according to the period specified in column (1) of the Second Schedule for the use in either direction of any part of the road known as the Link Road commencing from the Batu Kawan Interchange at coordinates N581396.462,
E276071.127 RSO Grid which connects to the North South
Expressway and ends at the Batu Kawan Cloverleaf Interchange at coordinates N79049.563, E110984.558 RSO Grid at the Penang
Development Corporation development area at Batu Kawan, being a distance of 4.672 kilometres, by the classes of vehicles specified in column (2) of the Second Schedule.
(2)
The roads specified in subsubparagraphs (1)(a) and (b) for the use of which tolls are authorized to be demanded, collected and retained are shown on the map in the Third and Fourth Schedules.
Payment of toll 3.
(1)
The toll referred to in subsubparagraph 2(1)(a) shall be payable by a driver of a vehicle before entering the Bandar Cassia Toll Plaza at kilometre 0.0 or the
Jambatan Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah Toll Plaza at kilometre 1.9 for vehicles heading towards Batu Maung via Jambatan Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah.
(2)
The toll referred to in subsubparagraph 2(1)(b) shall be payable by a driver of a vehicle before entering the Bandar Cassia Toll Plaza at kilometre 0.0 for vehicles heading towards Batu Kawan or Batu Maung and from Batu Maung or Batu
Kawan heading towards the North South Expressway.

(3)
A driver of a vehicle who uses an electronic card or device shall pass through a toll lane having an electronic card or device reader, approach the reader and touch the electronic card or device on the reader, and the toll payable shall be deducted from the electronic card or device.
(4)
A driver of a vehicle who uses an electronic tag shall, before passing through the dedicated electronic tag lane, display the electronic tag or the electronic tag with an electronic card or device at the windscreen of the vehicle, and the toll payable shall be deducted from the electronic tag or the electronic card or device.
(5)
“Electronic card or device” and “electronic tag” referred to in this paragraph means—
(a)
an electronic card or device and electronic tag as approved by the
Minister, issued for the purpose of payment of tolls;
(b)
in relation to an electronic card or device, an electronic card or device which is capable of being read by the reader installed at the toll lane; and
(c)
in relation to an electronic tag, an electronic tag which is capable of causing the pole at the dedicated electronic tag lane to be raised electronically.
Exemption from payment of toll 4.
Notwithstanding the provisions of this Order, the vehicles specified in the
Fifth Schedule are exempted from payment of toll.

EXEMPTED VEHICLES
1.
Any vehicles carrying the Yang di-Pertuan Agong or the Raja Permaisuri Agong, the Rulers or their consorts, the Yang di-Pertua Negeri of the States of Malacca,
Penang, Sabah and Sarawak or their wives, the Dato’-Dato’ Undang Negeri
Sembilan or the Tengku Besar Tampin or their wives, the Tengku Mahkota or the
Raja Muda of any State or their wives, the Raja Di-Hilir of Perak or his wife, or any visiting foreign dignitary.
2.
Any Government vehicle carrying the Prime Minister or the Deputy Prime
Minister.
3.
All military vehicles belonging to the Government or to any visiting force as defined in the Visiting Forces Act 1960 [Act 432].
4.
All Government vehicles solely engaged in ambulance duties, fire fighting duties, police duties or rescue duties inclusive of rescue team vehicles from the Civil
Defence Department and vehicles from the Prison Department while on prisoner’s escort duties.
5.
All vehicles not being Government vehicles solely engaged in ambulance duties, fire fighting duties and rescue duties.
6.
All three-wheeled or four-wheeled motorcycles used by any handicapped person.
