OPTICAL (AMENDMENT OF FIRST SCHEDULE) ORDER 2019

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 41 of the Optical Act 1991 [Act 469], the Minister, after consulting the Council, makes the following order:

Citation 1.

This order may be cited as the Optical (Amendment of First Schedule)

Order 2019.

Amendment of First Schedule 2.

The First Schedule to the Optical Act 1991 is amended, in relation to the country of “Malaysia”—

(a)

by inserting after the item “Institut Integrasi Utama Avicenna” and the particulars relating to it the following item and particulars:

Name of Institution granting qualification

Description of qualification

“Vision College

Diploma in Opticianry

(Recognized on 14 November 2018)”; and

(b)

by deleting the item “Institut Integrasi Utama Avicenna” and the particulars relating to it.
