Menteri mengecualikan ekspatriat yang merupakan warganegara India dan bekerja di luar India kecuali di Singapura daripada kehendak visa bawah subseksyen 2(1)

Akta tertakluk kepada syarat yang berikut:

(a)

ekspatriat itu hendaklah berdaftar dalam sistem pendaftaran dan maklumat perjalanan elektronik yang disediakan oleh Ketua Pengarah dan pendaftaran itu boleh dibuat—

oleh ekspatriat itu sendiri; atau

(ii)

bagi pihak ekspatriat itu, oleh agensi pelancongan di India yang berdaftar dengan Pejabat Perwakilan Malaysia di India;

(b)

ekspatriat itu hendaklah melakukan perjalanan ke Malaysia dalam tempoh tiga bulan selepas dia berdaftar dalam sistem pendaftaran dan maklumat perjalanan elektronik;

tempoh lawatan ekspatriat itu terhad kepada lima belas hari sahaja dan tidak boleh dilanjutkan;

ekspatriat itu hendaklah memasuki Malaysia dan keluar dari Malaysia hanya melalui lapangan terbang yang dibenarkan sebagaimana yang diwartakan di bawah subseksyen 5(1) Akta Imigresen 1959/63 [Akta 155]

atau melalui pos kawalan imigresen seperti yang berikut:

ekspatriat itu hendaklah mempunyai tiket penerbangan perjalanan balik terus ke India atau tiket penerbangan perjalanan ke mana-mana negara jika dia melakukan perjalanan melalui udara;

ekspatriat itu hendaklah mengemukakan maklumat pekerjaan, dalam bidang perniagaan, profesional atau teknikal, dan pas jangka panjang dari mana-mana negara tempat dia bekerja;

ekspatriat itu hendaklah, semasa ketibaan, mengemukakan bukti bahawa dia mempunyai wang poket yang mencukupi, kad kredit atau kad bank, dan mengemukakan jadual perjalanannya di Malaysia; dan

ekspatriat itu dibenarkan untuk mendaftar semula sebagaimana dalam subperenggan (a) untuk memasuki Malaysia selepas tempoh empat puluh lima hari dari tarikh dia meninggalkan Malaysia.

PASSPORTS (EXEMPTION OF VISA TO EXPATRIATE WHO IS CITIZEN OF INDIA)

(NO. 2) ORDER 2019

  1. IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 of the Passports Act 1966 [Act 150], the Minister makes the following order: Citation and commencement 1.

(1)

This order may be cited as the Passports (Exemption of Visa to

Expatriate Who is Citizen of India) (No. 2) Order 2019.

This Order has effect for the period from 1 January 2020

to 31 December 2020.

Exemption 2.

The Minister exempts an expatriate who is a citizen of India and working outside

India except in Singapore from the requirement of visa under subsection 2(1) of the Act subject to the following conditions:

(a)

the expatriate shall be registered in the electronic travel registration and information system provided by the Director General and the registration may be made—

by the expatriate himself; or

(ii)

on behalf of the expatriate, by a travel agency in India which is registered with the Malaysian Mission Office in India;

(b)

the expatriate shall travel to Malaysia within three months after he is registered in the electronic travel registration and information system;

(c)

the period of visit of the expatriate is limited to fifteen days only and shall not be extended;

the expatriate shall enter Malaysia and exit from Malaysia only through the authorized airports as gazetted under subsection 5(1) of the

Immigration Act 1959/63 [Act 155] or through the immigration control posts as follows:

the expatriate is not allowed to apply for any other passes under the

Immigration Regulations 1963 [L.N. 228/1963];

the expatriate shall have a travel air ticket back direct to India or a travel air ticket to any country if he travels by air;

the expatriate shall produce work information, in business, professional or technical field, and a long term pass from any country where he works;

the expatriate shall, on arrival, produce a proof that he has sufficient pocket-money, credit card or bank card, and produce his itinerary in

Malaysia; and

Suggest a correction

(i)

the expatriate is allowed to re-register as in subparagraph (a)

to enter Malaysia after the period of forty-five days from the date he leaves Malaysia.
